SayyidunÄ 'Umar al-FÄrÅ«q ibn al-KhattÄb had (by the Will of AllÄh) control over the ššØš®š« šš„šš¦šš§šš¬ known as 'al-'AnÄsir al-Arba'ah'.
ImÄm Fakhr al-DÄ«n ar-RÄzÄ« mentions in his TafsÄ«r that these Four Elements obeyed 'Umar Ibn al-KhattÄb:

Ibn Kathīr and others have recorded this:
SayyidunÄ ‘Amr wrote to SayyidunÄ ‘Umar telling him the proponents regarding the Nile river. He ('Umar) responded and wrote back to him, saying: “You did the right thing. I am sending you a piece of paper with my letter; throw it into the Nile.”
When the letter came, SayyidunÄ ‘Amr took the piece of paper on which was written:
“From the slave of AllÄh 'Umar, AmÄ«r al-MuminÄ«n, to the Nile of the people of Egypt.
To proceed: If you only flow on your own initiative, then do not flow, for we have no need of you. But if you only flow on the command of AllÄh, the One, the Subduer, and He is the One Who causes you to flow, then we ask AllÄh, may He be exalted, to make you flow.”
He threw the paper in the Nile and by Saturday morning, AllÄh had caused the Nile to flow and AllÄh put an end to this particular custom of the people of Egypt.

ImÄm AbÅ« Bakr Ibn AbÄ« Shaybah has recorded this with a reliable chain, that an earthquake occurred during the time of SayyidunÄ 'Umar ibn al-KhattÄb:
One day an earthquake hit MadÄ«nah, and 'Umar hit the ground with his stick and said, “Be calm, by the permission of AllÄh”, and the earthquake ceased because SayyidunÄ ‘Umar ibn al-KhattÄb told it to.

Al-BayhaqÄ«, ImÄm Aįø„mad and many others have recorded:
When SayyidunÄ ‘Umar Ibn al-KhattÄb sent out an army, he appointed a man named Sariyah as their leader. Then while SayyidunÄ ‘Umar was delivering the Khutbah, he started shouting: “O Sariyah, the mountain! O Sariyah, the mountain, the mountain!” Then a messenger from the army came and he [‘Umar Ų±Ų¶Ł Ų§ŁŁŁ Ų¹ŁŁ] questioned him [concerning the army], he said: “O Leader of the Believers! We met with the enemy and they had [almost] defeated us, then a voice proclaimed, ‘O Sariyah, the mountain!’ So we put our backs against the mountain and due to this AllÄh vanquished them.” This shows us the KarÄmah (miracle performed by a friend of AllÄh) of SayyidunÄ ‘Umar and his knowledge of the Unseen (‘ilm al-ghayb).

It’s recorded by al-BayhaqÄ« and others that a fire was extinguished by the shawl of AmÄ«r ul-Mu'minÄ«n SayyidunÄ 'Umar al-FÄrÅ«q ibn al-KhattÄb:
It is stated that once during the reign of SayyidunÄ 'Umar, a wild fire was observed from a mountain cave and burned everything in the surrounding. People took their plea to the Caliph and the Caliph gave his shawl to SayyidunÄ TamÄ«m ad-DÄrÄ«. He asked him to take that shawl to the fire. Upon arrival, TamÄ«m ad-DÄrÄ« observed that the fire started to extinguish by itself as he went near and when he went into the cave the fire extinguished completely and never appeared again.
