Musa (Moses) عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم said to his people: "Seek help in ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) and be patient. Verily, the earth is ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى)'s. He gives it as a heritage to whom He will of His slaves, and the (blessed) end is for the Muttaqun (pious).

Da'wah ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى)
Narrated Abu Bakr (RA): Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said: “The sun & the moon are the two signs of Allah and they do not eclipse because of the death of someone, but Allah frightens His slaves or devotees with them.”
(Hadith No. 1048 , Book of The Eclipses, Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2).
So, the occurrence of an eclipse is a reminder from Allah to His devotees about Qayamah; Allah frightens His slaves, awakes them by showing one of His signs.
